Containeranlage Wessumer Straße wird ab Mittwoch zurückgebaut und abtransportiert
Mietvertrag endet am 30. September
Ahaus.
Die Stadt Ahaus gibt das Gelände der ehemaligen Unterkunft für Geflüchtete an der Wessumer Straße 72 -74 zum Ende des Monats September vollständig an den Vermieter zurück. Der Abbau der Containeranlage startet am 2. September, der Abtransport der einzelnen Module folgt ab dem 8. September. Der Mietvertrag für das gesamte Grundstück inklusive Bestandsgebäude endet wie vereinbart zum 30. September.
Die Einrichtung steht bereits seit einigen Monaten leer. Die zuvor dort untergebrachten Personen sind in andere städtische oder private Unterkünfte gezogen. Auf dem Areal des ehemaligen Autohauses Gerding standen seit Frühjahr 2024 insgesamt 60 Plätze für geflüchtete Menschen zur Verfügung – 20 im Hauptgebäude sowie 40 in der temporären Containeranlage.
